Community Issues

Barking Dogs - Many of us moved into this community for the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Our homes are in close proximity and when a dog constantly barks it disturbs your neighbors. Complaints of barking and howling dogs in the early hours of the morning, sometimes off and on for hours continue. Please be a good neighbor and control your dogs or at least bring them in when they continue to bark. It is a violation of our convents and also the  “Longwood City Code Sec. 14-4 Public nuisance animals.”
“(6) Barks, chirps, howls, meows, or makes other such prolonged and disturbing noises which interfere with the peace and quietude of the neighboring property when such noises continue for periods longer than 15 minutes; “

The Longwood Police Department continues to patrol our streets. Please tell everyone, friends and family, to respect our streets, avoid the Police and save themselves some money. Think about how little time is saved by ignoring stop signs and our 15 mph speed limit.

Foreclosing on Homes - The Board of Directors of Danbury Mill has written to all homeowners that we have, and will continue to, foreclose on homes as a means to collect unpaid HOA Dues. We have a fiduciary responsibility to protect the Association and to ensure the funds are collected to pay all of the association bills.  Here is a copy of the letter - OPEN LETTER TO ALL HOMEOWNERS

Yard Maintenance - It has been called to our attention that some yard maintenance people and homeowners may feel that it okay to blow the tree leafs from their yards to our streets. This is not a good thing. Each property is responsible for cleaning up and bagging the leaves from their yard regardless of where the leaves may have originated. Please advise everyone that this is how we do it in Danbury Mill.

Dog Problems - We get complaints that a few of our residents dogs are defecating on public and other peoples property. The City of Longwood Ordinance imposes a $50 fine per violation and we ask community residences to report any problems to the Longwood Police Department with pictures or any other information you have so we can stop this practice. This is especially true with unleashed dogs which in itself is a violation. Here is the Longwood Police Department letter if you did not see it.

Doggie Bags - Please be sure to use the doggie bags located in the common area on Danbury Lane, if you are not carrying one of your own. We are grateful we are not receiving as many complaints about residents not picking up after their animals. Please dispose of your bags in the common area waste can or in your own waste can. Bags deposited into community sewer drains end up in the pond - not a good look for those entering and exiting the community.  Read Seminole County Animal Services information here... IT"S THE LAW!

Cabana Rental - The Pool or Cabana area may not be used for a private party without a reservation. You must register and receive approval from Empire Management Group. More information is available at General Information.

Pool & Cabana - In the past, we had some young people entering into the pool area in the evening and doing damage to your property. It will cost you money each time that we have to replace chairs or repair damaged fences, etc.
This notice is to give you an opportunity to fix this problem before the Board is forced to take action to protect your property. If you have young people in your household, please advise them that the Cabana is not an after hours hangout. If they are under 16, they cannot be at the pool without an adult present.
You can help us avoid a difficult situation by making your young people aware that they must respect the rules of our community and the property that was purchased for your enjoyment. Finally, if you live around the tennis courts and you see people in the cabana area after 10:00PM, please call the police. They will respond. Your Home Owners Association  cannot do law enforcement. The phone number for the Longwood Police is 407 339-1297.

Burglary Tip - In the past we had reports of automobile-related burglary where valuables are being stolen from cars left unlocked and parked on the driveway. We would like to urge you to be vigilant and watchful. Please park your vehicle in the garage. If you are unable to do so, please keep your doors locked at all times and bring your garage door opener into the house with you, as it can be used later to enter the house. through the garage.

TOWING Towing  has  always  been  a  tool  used  in  Danbury  Mill to enforce parking violations. The Board has empowered C & J Towing of Longwood to patrol the property from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., seven days a week, to look for and remove vehicles that are in violation. This removes the responsibility for making a decision on towing from any one board member. The responsibility for a car being towed, falls entirely on the person who is in violation. Notice of this policy has been mailed to homeowners, published in newsletters, as well as posted on this website. Keep in mind that a towing company comes through Danbury Mill daily on unpredicted dates to tow cars parked illegally. You are wise to keep your cars off the streets and off of common areas and/or other areas that can be construed as illegal parking. Your driveways and garages were built for your cars..... If you are towed, call C & J Towing at (407) 260-2038. Do not call Empire Management Group or the board members.
